Your challenge has just been answered- you've found somebody who has been! I went to Zambia with VSO straight after university, admittedly back in 1977, but still within 50 years! I had a great two years out there teaching in a large state boarding school, mainly agriculture and science, but I did end up as head of the RE department! When I went out to Africa I was not actually living over here, so perhaps I don't count but I am still a VSO supporter, so I must be on their database somewhere.It was a terrific experience which I can recommend to anyone with a skill to offer and a spirit of adventure….(read more)
