Rhino Calf Born in Zambia

According to African Wildlife Foundation and Wild Side Zambia, on February 18th, 2012 a white rhino calf was born in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park! The healthy female baby was born to Inonge, who lost her last calf some time in 2010. This is good news especially given that thirty years ago, Zambia’s black rhino was considered extinct and the white rhino population was in the single digits.
