Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder that results in uncontrolled or elevated blood sugar levels. It is commonly known as “sugar disease”. I will discuss the causes, symptoms, complications of diabetes and control of this chronic disease. I will also discuss availabilityof medications like insulin and metformin to control the disease in Zambia. The disease is controlled by medication, diet and exercise. I will discuss type 1 and type 2 diabetes and and gestational diabetes in pregnant women. Uncontrolled blood sugar result in major health complications cardiovascular, eyesight, kidney, neuropathy etc. Then: Do politcal alliances work?
