Bushe is from the first solo album Fire by Jahluther Martin Nkhoma. It is an educational song urging people to love each other as opposed to hate, jealousy and backbiting. Bushe is sung in Bemba.
Jahluther Martin Nkhoma is a music educator, performer, composer, arranger, instrumentalist, vocalist, dancer and art adviser/consultant. Over the years, he has worked with a number of different artists in the performing arts and served in various portfolios as manager, administrator and journalist. He also worked as a music teacher in nursery schools, high schools and colleges teaching music theory and playing instruments.
In 1993, he formed a band called VAM (Victor, Alfred and Martin) and has worked with Zambia’s notable musicians. He established himself as Jahluther, one of Zambia’s solo artists after his band VAM disbanded. He did a debut album with a former band mate McNeil Nyirenda titled Rasta Tagomaika. He first recorded a single titled Imikalile for radio.
Currently, he performs alone or with a band, playing different types of music in bars, nightclubs, schools, concerts, hotel festivals and has toured all provinces in Zambia performing and holding meetings and workshops with musicians.
In 2002, he went to Zimbabwe where he worked with a lot of Zimbabwean musicians and recorded his first solo album Fire.
